HIV in China

This troubling statistic from a reuter's article: "There are 190 new HIV infections every day ... and one percent of all pregnant women in China are infected". This quote was attributed to a high ranking official at the PRC's Ministry of Health. Given the chinese government's history of "minimizing" news that might reflect poorly on its leadership, one can only wonder if these statistics are
