Surprising news about angioplasty

A reuter news article states that an angioplasty may only provide benefits to a patient who has suffered a heart attack if the angioplasty is performed within the first twelve hours of a heart attack. According to the New England Journal of Medicine, using an angioplasty to restore blood flow three days following the occurrence of a heart attack provides no benefit other than what can be achieved
