A justification for E85?

Will ethanol ever become a viable alternative to traditional fossil fuel and assist in getting America off its foreign oil addiction? Who knows. But I just read an article about global warming that offers the following advice to farmers. Apparently, corn does fairly well in heat while wheat does not.
